We were pleased that the CQC (Care Quality Commission) placed us in the highest band of general practice nationally. You can see more information about the report here.
Extended access to primary care
MORE APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE NOW
There are now more primary care appointments available making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you in the evenings and at weekends.
The Extended Access Service is an extension of your usual primary care practice. It is not a walk-in service – you need to make an appointment.
The Extended Access Service is located at Mowbray Square in Harrogate and North House in Ripon. You can get appointments here up to 8pm weekdays and on Saturday mornings. Information about the new service is available here or contact reception. To download an information leaflet about the service Click here.
Skype and Facetime Appointments
We are offering appointments on Skype and Facetime. As far as we are aware, this is a first for Yorkshire. These appointments are in addition to those we already offer in the surgery and by telephone. Skype appointments will initially be with Dr Tatham as we gather feedback on how to tailor the service. We understand that not everyone will find it easy to get to an appointment at the surgery. A Skype appointment might be an alternative way of speaking to us, although we would not be able to examine you on the video link. If you would like a Skype appointment, please call us in the usual manner and our receptionists will take your email address. We will then call you on Skype at the time of the booked appointment
You can now book telephone appointments with doctors using the link to online services. You will need to be registered to use this though. If you do not use online access to book appointments or request prescriptions, but would like to do so, please speak to our reception staff. When you book a telephone appointment, the GP will try to call you back as close to the time specified as possible, but it might be a little earlier or a little later that day.
